Serves 6
1 lb. | Owens Hot Roll Sausage |
1 box | vegetable flavor rice mix (5.8 oz) |
2 tablespoons | butter or margarine |
1 cup | celery, chopped |
1 pkg. | frozen green, red, and yellow peppers and onions (16 oz) |
1 can | condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) |
1 cup | milk |
salt and pepper to taste | |
1/2 cup | shredded Colby cheese (2 oz) |
1 | Preheat oven to 350F. |
2 | Cook rice according to package directions. Transfer to large bowl. |
3 | In medium skillet, cook and crumble sausage until brown. |
4 | Stir sausage, vegetables, soup, milk, salt and pepper into cooked rice; mix well. |
5 | Spoon mixture into lightly greased 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. |
6 | Bake uncovered, 40 minutes or until heated through, serve hot. Refrigerate leftovers. |
