Owens sausage uses a secret family recipe that was inherited by our founder, Clifford Owens. In 1928, he began producing sausage products in his farmhouse kitchen. Eager to get his sausage on people’s tables, he and his four brothers started selling Owens sausage to family and friends. By 1946 the sausage business expanded throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
The rich heritage of the Owens farmhouse is deeply embedded in our company’s history. For more than 90 years, Owens has been delivering boldly seasoned foods inspired by the farm. Today, we are proud to continue the legacy of the Owens family – offering a variety of sausage products and frozen breakfast items.
